...A NEW LOOK - SEANDON @ Boss Models NYC

Actor/ model Seandon started the new year off with a new look - he shaved off ALL of his beautiful hair and asked me to photograph his new look. I have been working with Seandon since 2007 and each time its a challenge to capture him in a way that goes beyond shooting him "urban." Since he no longer had the hair, I wanted to really focus on his beauty and the artistry of his form.

Seandon has all the components to be an amazing model. He has a great personality with boyish charm, great features with the most perfect pouty mouth, and he has a great body. He effortlessly exude a sex appeal that comes to life in front of the camera. I enjoy working with Seandon because I like challenging myself and challenging his own boundaries of how he sees himself. He can do more than stand on the block looking like a urban model.

Seandon has recently expressed and interest in acting and has been studying and developing those talents - preparing for what he is going to do with his life when modeling is over. Check out his blog - WE SAW YOU

NEW FACE: ISAIAH COLBERT @ RED MODELS NYC

The unconventional yet bankable appeal of native New Yorker Isaiah Colbert first caught my attention in photos shot by Samuel Zukato. I immediately got in touch with Isaiah and set up a one- on - one meeting. After meeting him in person I definitely knew their was star potential in him. He was handsome with these amazingly beautiful piercing green eyes and a slim, almost perfect model body. He also had a charm and features that reminded me of President Obama. My challenge with Isaiah was to capture him in was he had never been photographed and I wanted to show that with his unusual features (especially those ears, lol) that he was marketable and had character and personality that was multi-dimensional.

After I shot him his girlfriend sent the pics to George at Red Models NYC and they signed him instantly. I am very proud of Isaiah and with his personality, unique look and the agressive push Red tend to give their black guys, I anticipate a rush of editorial magazine work if the near future. Watch out for this one y'all .... this is one to not sleep on.

fresh from Temple University, this new face at Red Models is already making waves in Milan.

instead of stressing about not having access to the latest designer duds, I decided to use my creative brain and take advantage of my resources. My granny told me to use my natural God-given gifts. When Andrew arrived, we walked to the bargain store on fulton near my house and i bought some cheap ass t-shirts, them $2 fishnet looking wifebeaters, and duct tape. I totally wnet freestyle on Andrew and had fun mixing crazy ideas with the clothes i had in my closet. The results were amazing. My favorite was when i wrapped his nearly naked body in plastic trash bags and started ripping it off of him.

Andrew was brand new in front of the camera. Having only been with Red models for one week... he moved like a seasoned pro. I enjoyed working with andrew and cannot wait to work with him again.

pictorial #007 - FIGHT CLUB - featuring Brian Peters @ Ford nyc

Brian Peters is one of my favorite models to work with. I first spotted him in the Fedex parking lot in my hometown of Memphis, Tn. back in 2005. I worked with him and developed him every weekend into an amazing model who gives his all whenever he steps in front of anyone's camera. Each time he is in NYC we try to do something hot.... and this time was no exception....

MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL - Sandhurst

I met Sandhurst thru the modeling network site modelmayhem. He hit me up first about doing a test shoot with him. I sent him a copy paste response telling him to check my rates on my website. As months went by I kept going back to view his pics and one day I just decided to give him a free test. so later we arranged the session. Sandhurst sent me an email informing me that he was chosen to compete in Bravo television's Make Me A Supermodel hosted by supermodel ledgend Tyson Beckford. He told me as soon as he was able to, he'd hit me up and we can make this happen.

check out his blog site - http://sandhurst-tacama.blogspot.com/

In the past, I had been blown off by other models from these model reality shows, so I expected the same from Sandhurst. One day I got a message from Sandhurst informing me that he ready to shoot the next time he was in NYC. We had a few phone and internet exchanges to set up his first shoot with me. I was excited.

He arrived at my doorstep with a big ole grin on his face. He grabbed me and hugged me and told me how "tiny" I was and he expected me to be much bigger. lol. He told me how he had been following my work since he was 14 years old. I was surprised. I really didn't realize how many people were paying attention to what I do especially before I moved to NYC.

Working with Sandhurst was great. He performed effortlessly despite enduring wearing a corduroy suit in extremely hot weather, hunger, and onlookers. After the shoot we took our hungry ass to Popeye's Chicken to eat everything we had no business eating.

I think Sandhurst is destined to do great things in this industry andI'm glad I had the opportunity to work with him.

Sandhurst was one of the finally three contestants on the show. At first I didn't expect him to make it so far more so because he was black. His consistantly good performance had me more hopeful, week after week I had my fingers crossed. He didn't win but in my eyes he was the winner. Congratulations to the most deserving muthaphuxah I know, lol!
